Imagenation's PX610 Award Finalist

Imagenation's first product award for its video frame grabber product line

Beaverton, Ore., February 1, 1998 -- Imagenation Corporation's PX610, a video frame grabber, was a finalist for Laser Focus World's 1998 Commercial Technology (CTA) Award. The award recognizes significant and long-lasting achievements in eight areas of commercial electro-optic technology. The PX610 was nominated in the imaging systems/vision systems category.

The PX610 is used in applications which require precisely capturing images of rapidly moving objects. Used with a progressive scan camera, the PX610 eliminates the blur caused by the motion of moving objects. Some application examples include reading the license plates of a moving vehicle and checking objects on a moving product line.

"This award shows Imagenation's commitment to designing and manufacturing leading edge products for machine vision applications," said George Fabel, CEO and President of Imagenation.

Eligible products for this award must have been commercially available between October 1, 1996, and September 1997 and continue to be of demonstrated commercial value. Laser Focus World is a monthly trade journal which provides comprehensive global coverage of electro-optics technologies, applications, and markets.
